Buddy
Hi I'm Buddy and I am looking for a forever home. Not sure why I was lost and not found, but here I am. I am sweet, friendly to everyone and good lookin'. I'm very mellow in the house and love being brushed and petted and of course I'm housetrained. My foster says I am so good in the house he can't believe I'm only 2 - then we go for walks and I do pretty well, til I see other dogs and out comes my energy. I love other dogs you see, and I get really excited. I only want to play (sometimes my friend Coby comes over and we play in the yard for a long time) but when I'm on a leash I can't do that. So I am learning something called patience, it's hard but I'm pretty smart so I will get it.. If I had another big playful dog to live with that would be great. Cats are unknown, but older kids would be great too. I'm a good eater, healthy and love to ride in the car, although I can be kind of vocal (excitement again). If you understand how exciting life is for me and are willing to help me learn this whole patience thing - you are just who I'm looking for. Contact placement@sagrr.org.
Coby
Happy New Year folks. I arrived at the end of the year and now I am ready to celebrate with a forever family. I'm a 2 year old boy, healthy, happy and like most 2 year olds, energetic. I also love to cuddle. I'm living with another dog at my foster and would be happiest in a home with another young dog who wants to play, play, play. I also love to ride in the car. I am good with all people, but there is that energetic thing - so only older kids. I'm good in the house, housetrained of course, but I am a counter surfer (food is my downfall) so you have to watch me or keep me out of the kitchen. Walking on a leash is currently a work in process for me, but I'm a quick learner. Oh and did I tell you I love toys. Oh my do I love toys but I don't tear them up, just play. I am fascinated with the pool, but it's too cool for swimming, so will have to wait for warmer weather to check out my swimming ability. If you want a sweet, fun boy and don't mind energy, I am the dog for you. Contact placement@sagrr.org.
Pending Adoption
All dogs listed as adoption pending have been placed with prospective adopters. Our policy is to allow our adopters a period of time to make sure all is well before we finalize the adoption. Sometimes dogs have medical or behavioral issues that require treatment and the adoptions are not finalized until the treatment is finished. On rare occasions a dog may not work in a family. Should that happen, it will be moved back to the available dogs section.
Josie
Hi everyone, I'm Josie (short for Josephine) and I'm about a year and a half old. I know it's hard to believe someone as cute and cuddly as I am needs a new home, but it's true. Someone in my old home was allergic to me so I am now with a foster. It's a totally cool place with lots of dogs (I really like other dogs and must have one in my new home). No accidents in the house with me, and I am also crate trained. I was a little afraid of riding in the car, and other strange things, but with another confident dog I have learned not to be. I also get along with cats and would be ok with older kids – big enough I wouldn't accidently knock them down. My leash walking is a work in progress and improving. My coat was not in good condition so I look a little like a lab, but it is growing now that I have the right nutrition and my foster mom says its very soft. I guess that's a good thing. An experienced family with a slightly older dog who can continue helping me learn to be brave and still young enough to play would be great. Or more than one dog is good too. I love people and snuggling too. I just heard my foster mom say I am perfect. Want to know more about me? Contact placement@sagrr.org.
